Dutch band (The) Nits looks back on an extraordinary career of fifty years, in which the band has published an enormous amount of very different albums, has played countless concerts all around the globe and has participated in many side ventures. En Lars Belden és el protagonista d’aquesta història que, incapaç d’assimilar la notícia de la mort de la Sela, una antiga amant seva, decideix entrar al pis d’ella per mirar de reconstruir certs episodis de la seva vida i esbrinar la veritat del que ha passat. En el transcurs d’aquestes cinc nits, el protagonista descobrirà una Sela totalment desconeguda, obsessionada per conservar testimonis de tot en forma de vídeos, cartes, diaris o fotografies.

Marta Romagosa narra la història d'un grup de dones, amigues totes, que a l'estiu es troben al mateix lloc. Tres nits fora de casa ambienta l'amistat d'aquestes amigues en èpoques diverses de la seva vida. L'autora ens parla del que és ser una dona d'uns cinquanta anys ara, del mirall deformant de l'expectativa i la il·lusió de la joventut vers la realitat de la maduresa. Ens ofereixen una mirada al passat des de l'experiència dels anys.
