In realtà queste parole hanno condizionato la vita di tutti gli abitanti della megalopoli di Seattle-Portland-Vancouver. Per anni, infatti, hanno dovuto adattarsi a un codice morale molto rigido e a una costante sorveglianza da parte della Delegazione, resa possibile da una sofisticata tecnologia. Then there was a revolution. The Delegation fell. Its most valuable members were locked in the Aperture, a prison on the outskirts of the city. And everyone else, now free from monitoring, went on with their lives.
