The automa Pinocchio has always been duty-bound to serve in the floating palace of Venice's emperor. So when Pinocchio finds himself locked in a trunk and delivered to a new master - a wanted criminal and alchemist named Geppetto - he is curious about everything around him. Basil the mouse detective is called to Paris when the organizers of the Great Cheese Cook-off (an international culinary competition) start receiving threats against the event. Basil immediately suspects Ratigan, who has escaped yet again and was seen lurking around Paris, and sets off on his investigation at the event’s location, the Parisian College of Cooking. But Basil is baffled when circumstantial evidence shows that it couldn’t have been his old enemy after all.

Kurz nach Mitternacht steht Tom Turbo, das tollste Fahrrad der Welt, auf einer Wiese und schaut auf den nächtlichen Sternenhimmel. Er sieht sich die verschiedenen Sternbilder an. Plötzlich kommt ein Monster herunter und direkt auf ihn zu. Tom Turbo gibt schnell Alarm an seine beiden Bosse Karo und Klaro, die auch sogleich zur Stelle sind. Dieses schwabbelige rosa Wesen kommt immer näher und schließlich landet es vor Karo und Klaros Haus. Der Computer des Fahrrades hält das Wesen für ein Monster vom Mars, aber später findet Tom ein rosa Fetzchen mit einem Schild dran in der Wiese liegen.

Tom Turbo und seine beiden Bosse eins und zwei, stehen auf einer hohen Klippe am Meer und starren in die Nebelsuppe. Im kleinen Fischerdorf in Dänemark, in dem Klaro und Karo Urlaub mit ihren Eltern machen, erzählt man sich einen geheimnisvollen Spuk. Plötzlich taucht tatsächlich das gruselige Geisterschiff auf. Und es erscheint auch noch ein heulender Wikinger! Die Juniordetektive machen eine schreckliche Entdeckung. Was hat es mit dem Wikingerschiff auf sich? Es sind ja Tierbabys in Gefahr.
