Story0
When young Ron Blomberg told his friends he wanted to be a Major League Baseball player, they practically laughed him out of town. Jewish kids just did not do that in the late 1950s, with the exception of a rare superstar like Sandy Koufax. Fortunately for Blomberg, his parents were a different story. As long as he was happy, they had no problem with their son growing up to be a doctor or a lawyer or a ballplayer. So, with his parents blessing, he prepared to ride his athletic skills as far as possible.

Story0
In 1960, an upstart Pittsburgh Pirates team beat the highly favored New York Yankees in the World Series. Given the power of a Yankee roster that included Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, and Yogi Berra, that improbably victory did more than give long-suffering Pirates fans something to cheer about; it put Pittsburgh on the map. Though John Moody was only six years old during that magical baseball season, he was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh team. The star pitcher for the Pirates and John's first hero was Vernon Law - an unsophisticated Idaho country boy, widely known as The Deacon, a friendly nickname derived from his strict Mormon upbringing.

Welcome to the Journey Through the Storms Podcast (formally the Make an Adjustment Podcast)! After a break to get myself together, I’ve decided to return to something I love. Doing this podcast was so much fun, but I also had some growing to do. I spent the better part of the year growing in my faith after getting down on myself for multiple things I felt I was doing wrong. I now feel that I have grown enough to return to helping others through their difficult journey, building faith, and getting through life. Life changes constantly, but only two things remain consistent: our circle of ...
