The town of Egglemore is waking up to a terrifying epidemic. Those who have taken Noxidone are trapped in a violent, hallucinatory state, attacking other residents in increasingly brutal ways.

Michael, Akio, Yuko and the rest are searching for the pieces necessary to put together a craft which Michael hopes will take him to Bethany Anne. But first, there are idiots in his way, seeking the same parts and intend to take them. By force. The challenge is they will find out what ‘force’ truly means when they dare to go up against the Dark Messiah. One way or another, Michael will get back to Bethany Anne.

Michael just wants a little sleep. The last few days has been a bit of a learning overload after coming back a hundred and fifty years after he was blown apart by a backpack nuke. The world destroyed itself, there are anti-gravity cars and ships, and his love is in the stars... somewhere. Plus, there is a Vampire trying to make Europe his personal fiefdom. Akio and Yuko are trying to find him, and he has a young female Wechselbalg and male Vampire to keep on the straight and narrow.

After the virus swept over the world, humanity has dealt with the zombies left in its wake as best it could, containing the teeming horde inside of newly walled cities, holding them there until armies can be organized to eradicate the plague from the face of the earth once and for all. In the meantime, in cities all over the world, ex-soldiers like Darian Kilgore and his company of reclamation engineers have licenses to legally go inside the walls and retrieve anything from within for the survivors who are willing and able to pay their price.

Michael returns to fulfill a promise to his love, but the world isn't the same place. Michael, the Archangel himself, has returned after a hundred and fifty years rejuvenating in the Etheric Dimension. Now, the most powerful male Vampire the world had ever known is back. The problem? The world went through an Apocalypse and what little honor and justice that previously existed, is gone. Further, his love has left to the stars somewhere, fighting for those on Earth.

Life in the big city has its problems: traffic, overpopulation, and crime, not to mention the brain-hungry living dead. But for hard rockers Straw and Whip, life among the flesh-eating populace is easy. They pass their time disguising themselves to fit in with the decaying hordes, pilfering musical instruments from deserted shopping malls, eating like kings, and performing rooftop rock shows...until they meet a gun-crazy vixen named Betty. Soon the duo begin to feel the flames of jealousy over who in all likelihood is the last woman on Earth.

After a devastating military error with tragic results for humanity… a special squad is formed to reverse that error and restore the survival of humankind.
