Story0
Perhaps you’re like me. Perhaps you originally came to Jesus and felt great freedom as He eased your load. But maybe, over the course of the journey with Him, your burdens piled up and you lost your joy. It happens so easily: we unconsciously lose our focus on Christ and begin to look to ourselves. We distractedly go through the routines of the “Christian life,” whatever that is, depending on our own strength, discipline, and works. When that happens, the world goes gray.

Through fictional conversations between Jesus and everyday people, we explore health, money, purpose, lifestyle, and more. It’s not about sermons or doctrine—it’s about honest moments, quiet humor, and the kind of reflection that makes us feel a little more grounded. What does it mean to love? To lose? To belong? With compassion, humor, and curiosity, each episode offers a space to reflect on being human in a complicated world. These aren’t ...

Story0
The abolitionist, essayist, teacher, and women’s rights activist Maria W. Stewart is thought to have been the first African American woman to raise matters of equality and justice in a US public forum, the New England Anti-Slavery Society in Boston. In her 1832 lecture, Why Sit Ye Here and Die?, she demanded equal rights for African American women while criticizing both the slavery of the South and the lack of opportunity and equality in the North. Her biblical style of oratory and fierce opposition to injustice still inspire today.

Formerly the Love Drops Podcast, the Can You Just Sit With Me? Podcast was relaunched in Fall 2021 by Natasha Smith—ceritified grief educator, author, speaker, and podcaster—where she shares authentic conversations on faith, family, and grief. This podcast was born out of a time when the world felt overwhelming—social injustice, division, and the weight of a global pandemic. Yet, what we need most in challenging times is for someone to sit with us as we navigate loss and healing.Join me as we explore the realities ...
