Eigentlich wünscht sich Eli, die liebenswerte Hexe mit Hang zu Kaffee und Chaos, nichts sehnlicher, als endlich mal ausschlafen zu können und vielleicht davor noch ein wenig zu kuscheln. Oder auch etwas mehr. Doch das scheint ihr nicht vergönnt. Denn die hinterhältigen Vampire träumen von der Weltherrschaft und wieder einmal ist es an Eli, die Welt vor dem Zugriff des Bösen zu bewahren. Magie, Romantik und packende Spannung erwarten die Leser auch im 4. Band der epischen Fantasy-Reihe aus der Feder von Ina Linger. Die Burg Ezieran, einstiger Sitz sagenumwobener Könige und Zauberer, gibt Leon und seinen Freunden zum ersten Mal seit langer Zeit das Gefühl, sicher und geschützt zu sein. Doch bald schon muss Leon feststellen, dass dieses Gefühl trügerisch ist und auch die dicken Mauern einer Festung keinen Schutz vor Intrigen, Angst und Verrat bieten können.

Außerdem verhält sich Vincent sehr sonderbar und Pax hat ein Auge auf den gutaussehenden Dr. Maxim Stöverbeck, den Drachenwandler, geworfen.
