With the Pitch & Sync Studio as our base camp, we explore all things audio – uncovering the many mysteries of music, music-making and the music biz. We speak to artists, directors, composers, producers, music supervisors, foley artists, managers and mates, even scientists and researchers – anyone with insight into the many ways that music weaves its spell.

The Refrain: Getting in Sync with the World explores human entanglement with the other-than-human world around us. Through voice and sound we investigate our interconnectedness with the world around us and our collaboration with the other-than-human. Each episode will explore one or more approaches, including philosophies such as assemblage theory, Object Oriented Ontology, post humanism, anthropology beyond the human, neuroscience, traditional cultures, resurgent cultures, new forestry, biology, and more.

Woher kommen eigentlich unsere schönen deutschen Weihnachtslieder? Wie alt sind sie, wie entstanden sie und woher kommt der Text? In diesem vierten Weihnachtsalbum von SyncSouls wollen wir dem ein wenig auf den Grund gehen. Zunächst wird zur Einstimmung das jeweilige Weihnachtslied angespielt und die meist ja sehr bekannten Texte wie ein Gedicht vorgetragen, was noch einmal die Botschaften von Frieden, Liebe und Vergebung, die Weihnachten transportiert, betont und in den Vordergrund stellt. Danach beleuchten wir die Herkunft und den Inhalt des jeweiligen Textes und Liedes.
