Die Drachenflöte: Olivia führt die Drachenreiter durchs Labor. Dabei präsentiert sie ihnen eine Art Stein, die sie in der Kluft entdeckt hat und die Tom Drachinit nennt. Tom befürchtet, dass seine Mutter kurz davor ist, die geheimen Welten zu entdecken. Doch zunächst plagen die Drachenreiter andere Probleme, denn immer noch befindet sich Buzzsaw in der Kluft. Als sie auf seine Drachenfallen stoßen, wollen die Freunde ihn unbedingt finden und gehen ihm dabei selber in die Falle.

"Ausgeflinkt": Ein Schiff legt im Hafen von Hüttsgalur an. Mit an Bord: Axel Fink, der Neffe des durchtriebenen Erfinders Magnus Fink. Und eine geheimnisvolle große Kiste, adressiert an die kleinen Retter. In der Kiste befindet sich ein großes Drachenei, Absender unbekannt. Vermutlich wusste da jemand, dass sich die kleinen Retter gern mal um verwaiste Drachen (und seien sie auch noch nicht geschlüpft) kümmern. Nur zu gern möchte sich Magnus die Kiste samt Inhalt unter den Nagel reißen und beauftragt seinen Neffen damit, sich bei den kleinen Rettern beliebt zu machen und dort einzuschleusen.

Tarnfeder: Alex kommt so langsam Toms Geheimnis auf die Schliche und begibt sich auf die Suche nach ihm. Dabei bemerkt sie nicht, dass sie von einem unsichtbaren Drachen verfolgt wird. Als sie den Drachen schließlich entdeckt, weihen die anderen Alex in das Geheimnis ein und versuchen den Drachen zu schnappen.

Die kleinen Flitzer. In Huttsgalor verschwinden Sachen. Die kleinen Retter treffen auf ein Rudel schnell fliegender Zoomerangs- Drachen, die ihre Geschwindigkeit nutzen. Ein Tag ohne Drachen. Als Dak und Leyla sich gegenseitig herausfordern, einen Tag ohne ihre Drachen auszukommen, beschließen die Drachen, ebenfalls einen Tag allein zu verbringen.

Der Himmelsbrenner: Olivia erzählt Tom, dass Erdabsenkungen im Wald gefunden wurden, die sie untersuchen will. Leider wird sie dabei von Sledkin begleitet. Und nicht nur das: Bevor sie mit der Arbeit beginnen kann, taucht Buzzsaw auf und stellt sie wegen des Blitzvogels zur Rede.

Der Eissturm: Immer noch sucht Tom mit seinen Freunden nach dem Schlüssel für seine rätselhafte Kiste. Als ein Unwetter aufzieht, wollen die anderen umkehren. Doch Tom möchte vorher noch einen Ort untersuchen. Jun und D’Angelo begleiten ihn in eine Eishöhle, während Alex mit Eugene den nahenden Sturm im Blick behält.

Heiß, heiß, heiß: Immer wieder, vor allem nachts, verschwindet Aggro von ihrem Schlafplatz. Entweder hockt sie am Feuer, oder sie begibt sich ins Tal der kochenden Quellen. Sie hat sogar keine Hemmungen, in einen Vulkankrater zu fliegen und die Hitze zu genießen? Warum das alles? Aggro häutet sich, findet diesen Vorgang jedoch dermaßen peinlich, dass sie ihren Freunden nichts davon erzählt.
