A przynajmniej dopóki nie zada ciosu w nos niewłaściwemu dyplomacie, wskutek czego otrzymuje nowe rozkazy: oto teraz ma objąć dowództwo nad odludnym więzieniem w górach Lodowych Ostrzy. Nie dowodząc nigdy niczym większym od eskadry smoczych skrzydłolotów, co zrobi w forcie pełnym gwałcicieli i morderców? Nie wspominając nawet o tej dziwnej kobiecie, która pojawia się tuż przed jego przybyciem.
