The National Mall in Washington, DC, is home to the world-renowned Smithsonian Museums and millions of visitors each year come to view the vast collections held here—however—they rarely look at the OUTSIDE of the buildings, and most know very little of the history of this place called the National Mall. BrightPath Tours would like to change that! With Part I of our Walk Around the National Mall, we will stop at each of the buildings on the South side of the Mall and we'll discuss a variety of topics that includes the history of each site.

Your host, BrightPath Tours, will take you for a walk along one of the most famous streets in the United States: Pennsylvania Avenue. Walk at your own pace, on your own schedule! We start where Pennsylvania Avenue meets 15th Street, at Pershing Park and the WWI Memorial, where we'll see the memorial to General John "Blackjack" Pershing. Of all the places to visit in Manhattan, the southern tip of the island is the most historic. BrightPath Tours welcomes you to our tour of Lower Manhattan! Here you'll find the city's oldest chapel—and its first skyscrapers. Here you'll see the street that began as a barrier, extending from river to river. Today that street is known as Wall Street. Our main tour route is the old trading path that wended its way from the very bottom to the very top of Manhattan Island.

Boston has long been world-renowned for its history and the role it played during the American Revolution. Today, it combines that history with one of the finest park systems in the country and BrighPath Tours is pleased to take you on a tour of its earliest park, the Boston Public Garden. Besides the many beautiful and historic plantings throughout, the Garden is home to the famous Swan Boats and a collection of monuments and memorials that date from before the Civil War all the way up to the 20th century.
