Ma attento: le formule magiche vanno usate solo quand'è necessario e non tutte in una volta. C'è il rischio che al semaforo venga sonno, la supposta diventi verde e i brutti sogni si annidino tra i capelli.

Ivan Krylov (1768-1844), famoso autore di favole, si dedicò totalmente a questo genere letterario dal 1808 in poi, dopo scarsi successi come commediografo. In questo campo ottenne grandi successi in patria e all'estero. Le sue favole, in versi, sono qui presentate nella traduzione di Federico Verdinois.
