يسوع ابن الإنسان أو عيسى ابن الإنسان كتاب صدر لجبران خليل جبران عام 1928، وقد صدر باللغة الإنجليزية من نيويورك، ولم يترجم إلى العربية قبل العام 1962. يصف جبران في كتابه حياة المسيح وتعاليمه لكن برؤيا صوفية، فيرسم صورة المسيح من خلال الآخرين، فيورد آراء سبعة وسبعون شخصًا عاصروا المسيح وعرفوه ومعظمهم ممن ورد ذكرهم في الإنجيل، وهم يمثّلون فئات مختلفة، وقد ابتكر جبران منهجًا جديدًا لتحليل شخصية المسيح والتي أضفى عليها صفة الفرح والقوة والمحبة والصّلابة، والتمرد والثورة ، والعمل والصبر، وذلك في أسلوب غنيّ بالصّفاء والسلاسة والفكر.

لقد تفشى الشذوذ في بعض المجتمعات القديمة وأقدم من مارس الشذوذ وعرفوا به هم قوم النبي لوط (عليه السلام). وموقف الدين من قضيتي اللواط والسحاق واضح فهو شذوذ يعاقب مرتكبوه أشد عقاب، وقد أورد الجاحظ في رسالته عدداً من الأحاديث والأخبار تدل على ذلك. أما المواقف الاجتماعية نحوهما فقد تغيرت على مسار القرون، من الرفض والاضطهاد الكامل إلى التقبل والاعتياد له وما بينهما.

قبل هذا الكتاب، كان العشاق العذريون في تصورنا أنقياء كالملائكة، معصومين كالقديسين. ويأتي صادق جلال العظم في هذا الكتاب ليمزق القناع عن وجوه العشاق العذريين، وليكشف بالمنطق والفكر الفلسفي العميق، أنهم كانوا في حقيقتهم نرجسيين وشهوانيين.

هذا الكتاب الذي تم جمعه بعد وفاة الكاتب جبران خليل جبران يضم عدد الرسائل وبرقية أرسلها جبران إلى مي زيادة عندما كان في نيويورك. وسمي هذا الكتاب بالشعلة الزرقاء بعد أن ألهمت الرسالة الأخيرة جامع الكتاب لهذه التسمية، وقد كانت هذه الرسالة موجزة ومعبرة ورمزية، كما هو جبران عادةً، فهي كناية عن لوحة ليد مبسوطة تخرج منها شعلةٌ زرقاء كتب عليها "من جبران إلى ماري" وتم تأريخها بـ 26/ آذار/ 1931، مما يعني أنها آخر ما خطه جبران قبل وفاته بأسبوعين. الحب الذي نشأ بين جبران خليل جبران ومي زيادة حب أفلاطوني نادر، لم يكن مثله عبر التاريخ، وبالأخص تاريخ الأدب، ولم يكن مثلهما أي عاشق.
