Annelie kann ihr Glück kaum fassen: Die Ponyflüsterschüler machen eine Klassenfahrt! Eine ganze Woche werden sie mit ihren Gefährtenponys auf dem Abenteuerhof verbringen. Das wird ponytastisch! Die Vorgeschichte der "Ostwind"-Reihe - mit Ostwind als Fohlen. Die 14-jährige Tara trägt ein Geheimnis mit sich: Ungefiltert spürt sie die Gefühle der Pferde und ihr einziger Ausweg damit umzugehen, ist sich möglichst von ihnen fernzuhalten. Ihr großer Bruder Pedro, der seit dem Tod ihrer Eltern die Pferdezucht auf der Hacienda Monte Sabio weiterführt, ist deswegen auch überzeugt, dass Tara mit Pferden nichts anfangen kann.
