Otti macht große Augen, als Oma das schwarz-weiß gemusterte Brett auf den Tisch stellt und feierlich sagt: "Dies war das Schachspiel von deinem Opa." Aber die Marmorfiguren sind zerbrechlich und Omas Erklärungen ziemlich langweilig, so dass Otti bald auf andere Ideen kommt.
