The Circle's job was to protect the innocent. But what happens when the innocent aren't exactly what they seem? What happens when they become the Nine? Gabriel can't bring himself to look at me. Broken wings. Broken will. Titus lays in a hospital bed, with the vultures hovering close. Rival stands beside me...but he may as well be on the other side of the world for all the lies that divide us. They killed my family. They tortured those I love. I won't wait for death to come for Titus. I'll become the monster they feared and hunt them down.

Lucifer, the Lord of Hell, has reappeared into my life, and he owes a shit ton of alimony. Twenty-five years worth to be exact, timed from the day he walked out on me and my mother and never looked back. And I plan on making his life a living Hell until he pays up. He just smiles, ruffles my hair, and tells me I'm cute when I'm angry. But anger isn't all that's rising to the surface with this surprise reunion. The seal on my past has been broken, and the skeletons in the closet are coming out to play. Dark secrets that involve my mother and the circumstances surrounding her death.

In an instant he became her hero. Then he became her lover and her friend. My name is Jaxon Hart. You watched me grow up. You watched me fight for my life. Now, I’m fighting for hers. From the second I laid eyes on Annika Leander, I wanted to help her. Protect her. Vindicate her. But she’s got baggage to get through. Hell, we both do. A funny thing happens, though, when you finally connect with someone in a different way than you ever have before. The baggage doesn’t seem so heavy. I suppose that’s really the only thing that matters when the heart gets involved.

Love is strange. It comes out of nowhere, and there's no logic to it. It's not methodical. It's not scientific. It's pure emotion and passion. And emotion and passion can be dangerous because they fuel love...and hate. I'm now a reluctant connoisseur of both - an expert through immersion. I know them intimately. When I fell in love with Miranda, it was swift and blind. She was the person I'd elevated to mythical status in my head, in my dreams. Here's the thing about dreams: They're smoke.

It was only supposed to be one weekend. Now I'm serving this young muscle god's every desire, and I can't get enough. Was it too soon to call it love? Is that even what this was? This unstoppable tangle of dominance, compassion, and lust between us? He was the one thing in my numb, lonely world that made me feel beautiful, wanted, and alive. I knew it was wrong to live out all of my secret sexual fantasies with him, but he wanted it just as badly as I did, and didn't we both deserve to get what we needed?

For Samuel Grayson, everything is black or white. As a funeral director, there's no room for in-between. He's accustomed to dealing with life and death, though he's definitely more comfortable with the latter. Especially when it comes to a chaotic, petite, feisty ball of energy. Freedom Rayne. He's pretty sure her goal is to make his life hell, or so it appears. When Samuel boards a flight to Las Vegas for his sister's wedding, the last thing he expects is to share it with the woman who drives him crazy.

Everything is coming together for Harper Grayson. She has a family she adores, a quaint little house that's all hers, and a puppy to keep her warm at night. Plus, her lingerie shop, Kiss Me Goodnight, is successful. With her eyes now set on an expansion the moment the empty building next door finally becomes available, things are finally aligning perfectly for Harper. Until Latham Douglas walks through her door....

Tristan Lopez is loyal to his brothers. He doesn't really have a choice, born into a gang that has a choke hold on every kid who roams its streets. He gave his life to them willingly, knowing if he did, then one day, this kingdom, led by boys drunk with power and ruled by fear, would all be his. Riley Rojas took up space on his streets, her loud mouth fearless in the face of the gang leaders who terrified everyone else. She pushed Tristan around on the hard court, and she balled better than his friends - better than him sometimes. She challenged him. She needed him. He liked it.

Not all heroes are good guys. With a body count on his soul and blood on his hands, Killian Nox lived in the gray. Ruthlessly single-minded, if he wanted something, it was his. And when it came to the gorgeous lass with a fiery attitude, he didn't just want her. He needed her.

I'm a prisoner in the Unseelie world. The bars of my prison my portal to home. The Queen of Air and Darkness my judge, jury...and executioner. I must pay for my crimes, she tells me - for all my sins. And while I wait in this cold, dark Hell, my father has the real murderer, the Unseelie Prince, Absolon. Lucifer won't hurt him, even when Absolon laughs in his face. For my life hangs in the balance....

Living with her mother seemed like a good idea at the time. But Elliott Donovan's living arrangements are not working for her anymore. Desperate to get back on her financial feet after a divorce and out from under her mother's thumb, Elliott takes a job in the child care center at Weight Expectations, a local gym. It has everything she needs - family friendly hours, more pay than she expected, and a super-cute trainer who just happens to have part of his house for rent.

Steven Thompson had a bad year. A string of mean, kinky (the alarming kind, not the good kind), and crazy dating debacles combined with a boss who appears to be experiencing male-prenatal-psychosis means Steven's stress levels are high. They're so high, he's decided to quit dating and focus instead solely on his job. Until he meets Dr. Ken Miles. Doctor Ken Miles is having a fantastic year. His hard work is paying off in a big way...professionally. But his social life? Not so much. Until he meets Steven Thompson.

Rosalind Palmer was blessed with the perfect stage name. Or so she's been told. There are just a few problems with it: 1) Her family doesn't know she's a stripper. 2) She'd like to keep it that way. 3) She got over the nickname somewhere around seventh grade. Unfortunately - because she likes her job and she really likes her independence - her unexpected pregnancy means Rosalind's days on a pole are numbered. Even so, she's determined to make this co-parenting thing work.

Callie asked if I was ready. And that's the question, isn't it? Ready for what? The spotlight? The music? Or ready for life. Ready to face the reality that what I was is going to attack the very fabric of who I am now. No one knows I'm a different person. Well, no one except the two most important people in my life, which is why there's a remote chance I might actually pull off the comeback I never saw coming.

Going back home, to the Shifter Realm, is the last thing Obsidian wants to do. The only thing worse is talking about and confronting his past. Word spreads fast and it doesn't take long for Obsidian's past to walk right up to him. Breaker, Cain, and Jett, three of his biggest tormentors, are now in the highest position of power. Obsidian soon realizes that things haven't changed...they're worse. Finley and her mates arrive at a time when the residents are hiding and there are whispers that more is going on.

What's a spelled, violin-wielding thief-for-hire to do when parts of a poem that lead to a map to unknown treasure falls into her lap? Follow it, of course. After being shot while retrieving the first piece of the map, Finley knows she's going to need some help with the next piece. On the road to figuring out where the second piece of the map is, a tip points her in the direction of three men. Obsidian, the hamrammr, Stolas, the hellhound, and Verkor, the unseelie fae. Finley gets a little more than she bargained for when they meet.

Mother Nature always gets what she wants, and Sophie must locate the great mage Elowen before Mother's patience runs out. Guided by sensual but tormented Valor, Sophie, Carrigan, Hagan, and Jonas venture into the sacred wood to seek an audience with the mage. But the forest holds more secrets than anyone bargains for, and one unexpected truth will rock Sophie to her core.

Sophie has done her best to avoid the magical world for fear of the havoc her abnormal ability wreaks on other supernaturals. As a silencer who mutes the powers of those around her, she's spent her life among the mortals her defect can't harm. But when Mother Nature pushes her from her home to do her bidding, Sophie has no choice but to venture to the magical town of Twin Rivers.

Being taken in the middle of the night was just the rude awakening I needed to bring reality crashing back down. Trapped and unable to reach the princes or my team, hopelessness hunts me down like a pack of hellhounds. Making matters worse, I'm at the mercy of the one who's appeared in my nightmares since first laying eyes on him. Face-to-face for the second time, I'm reminded of our mutual hatred. Only, now that the blood bond has taken effect, is it still mutual? I get the sense that something's changed.

To some, having the attention of four princes might be a dream come true, but for Corina, it means four times the trouble. Escaping burning buildings, living off scraps, being hunted by vamps - those are storms she knows how to weather. It's having the entire world observe as she and the Dynasty's golden boys engage in a blood bond that has her shaken. For all she knows, it won't even produce a cure for the mysterious blood sickness like they're hoping, which could mean she'll be put to death anyway.
