Someone said that while Dr. A. W. Tozer always sought to introduce sinners to their Savior, he longed to help saints to see the greatness of God and to experience the life of victory and joy through surrender and faith. This theme—recognizing God for who He is, giving Him the worship and honor due Him—was particularly dominant in Dr. Tozer's late writings.

It used to be that Christians conceived of the world as a battleground. They believed in sin and the devil and hell as constituting one force, and in God and righteousness and heaven constituting the other. How different today. People think of the world not as a battleground, but as a playground.

To have found God and still to pursue Him is a paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too-easily-satisfied religious person, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart. Saint Bernard of Clairvaux stated this holy paradox in a musical four-line poem.

In this Christian classic, late pastor and evangelist A. W. Tozer brings the mystics to bear on modern spirituality, grieving the hustle and bustle and calling for a slow, steady gaze upon God. He reminds us that life apart from God is really no life at all.

From the Grave: A 40-Day Lent Devotional reflects on this critical spiritual dynamic. It features A. W. Tozer’s best insights on faith, repentance, suffering, and redemption. Gleaned from his transcribed sermons, editorials, and published books, each moving reflection has been carefully selected for the season of Lent.

In an age of spectacle and opulence, we've lost sight of sacrifice and obedience. In this never-before-published compilation of teachings, A. W. Tozer turns to Bible passages and stories like Abraham and Isaac, unpacking them to reveal spiritual truths crucial to a lifetime of fruitfulness and power: unwavering obedience.

Although never considered to be a popular speaker nor prolific writer, A. W. Tozer's audiences did appreciate what he had to say, and he was probably the most widely read Christian writer of his time. Keys to the Deeper Life contains six of his best-known essays and editorials. In them he...
