Icrul never fit in. From her awkward body to her clever mind, so full of questions, she stood out in a city where conformity ruled—and tradition kept creative minds in check. Abandoned by her scheming mother, Icky and her Da face a cruel teacher, a decaying ship, and financial ruin. They also face... a grasping hand that will use the law to strip them of everything they worked for.

The Ravennox are still out there. But thanks to Darius Spann and the Superba, Lawson and the other forces of the newly-restored Cygnus Realm face another, far more immediate threat. Spann and his Superba allies still hold sway over a huge swath of human territory, declaring it all Imperial space. Humanity is split, the Realm on one side and the Empire on the other, both claiming to be led by the Messenger. With neither able to land a decisive blow to knock out the other, a cold war now simmers between these two competing visions for the future.

With the attack countdown ticking toward zero, Mark and Perry pitch themselves headfirst into a seemingly impossible mission. One intended to break Gyl-Mareth's hold on the Guild, and thus the galaxy, once and for all. But first, Peaceful Skies must fall. Their strike is silent and deadly. Justice prevails. As a veteran and battle-tested soldier, Mark Tudor understands one key truth—violence is never a straightforward affair. Even the best-laid plans can crumble. And when working against a savvy predator, one should always expect the unexpected.

Van and his crew suspect there's more to the Equal Grasp than just a band of thieves, and they begin their campaign at Bopul Station, a lonely outpost where corruption rules and Peacemakers are feared. To continue the fight and the case, the crew and friends need more than just contacts. They need money. To that end, Van begins exploring an old mystery about his grandfather, which leads to the shocking discovery—the Earth is being stripped of its history, one object at a time, but that's not the main purpose of the criminals.

From the shores of a secret planet to the halls of power in Washington, Van navigates a complex web of lies, law, and politics, all so that Earth can be saved from the clutches of ruthless criminals. But these people aren't from Earth. In fact, they're not even human, and they see Earth as a ripe fruit ready to be picked. That doesn't work for Van and his crew, so he begins fighting back with the dirtiest tactics of all: diplomacy. Since the aliens are among us, and they want money and power, Perry and Miryam will unleash their skills to craft a plan.

The Unity Marine Corps is fighting the most brutal war in human history—and they're losing. Facing an implacable enemy that will stop at nothing short of total conquest, an ugly truth comes to light in battle after battle. Without more Marines, humanity will lose the war. Cullen's plan to recruit civilians from his athletic academies, train them, equip them, and strike back at the enemy is greenlit by Unity Command.

Rejected scientist Alexander Hawke is down to his last chance. Brilliant but sheltered, every banker in New York has refused to finance his ideas. Enter the Russian—charming, dangerous, and offering an Antarctic expedition that promises answers to all of his questions. Now, Alexander stands at the edge of a bottomless chasm. With a helpful shove from his foreign benefactor, he plunges into adventure. Landing in darkness, Alexander finds a portal to destiny—weirder than New York, colder than Russia, and filled with the ruins of an empire that once spanned the galaxy.

For the first time ever, Van has to deliver the remains of fallen comrades. At the Starsmith, he's presented with an opportunity to change the face of the war, even as Torina and Van begin planning for the ultimate shift in their galaxy: Parenthood. But first, the crew must prepare for an unexpected gift—a new, unknown fleet of ships, uncrewed and hidden deep out in the black. There's just one problem. They have the ships, but they need pilots and a secret base to create their fleet. For that job, they'll need an ally of unparalleled strength. The Schegith Protectorate.

When he was twenty, Conover joined Dash Sawyer, the man who would be the original Messenger, in fighting for humanity's future against an implacable alien foe. Two brutal wars later, Conover had proven himself a skilled mech pilot, flying the mighty Pulsar and helping win ultimate victory for Dash's newly-formed Cygnus Realm. Nearly a century-and-a-half later, an aging Conover now bears the mantle of Messenger, leading the Cygnus Realm through a long age of peace and prosperity.

Van Tudor is a busy man. And that means his friends are going to have to help out as they begin expanding their role as Peacemakers, diplomats, and warriors. But not every job is fun. Unless you make it fun. Tasked with a simple prisoner transfer, Icky convinces Funboy to take a chance on something that goes against every fiber of his being. The Galaxy's Biggest Buffet. Naturally, things don't go well. There are sneeze guards, cheese fountains, and a small case of murder that lands Icky and Funboy as suspects in a crime so heinous, it almost interrupted their breakfast.

And for Calamity, life is in the way.

Cullen Bright is the greatest athlete in human history. With over fifty victories in the Enhanced Pentathlon, no one can fight, shoot, or run like him—but it's not enough. Adrift and bored with wealth and fame, he finds his cause when an alien enemy launches a savage war of extermination against The Ten human star systems under Unity control. In a flash of anger, he enlists in the Unity Marines, determined to bring his limitless talent to a cause that is spiraling into chaos and madness. But Cullen will learn that being a Marine isn't a solo sport, and respect isn't given—it's earned.

On the run and broken, the Equal Grasp faces elimination on earth and everywhere else, their leader gone, their mission a shambles, and with new agents of justice hard on their heels. But the fight isn't over. In fact, it's just begun, and Van knows that every decision he's made for the past decade will come to bear on who lives, and who dies—and who is meant to rule over a universe where freedom and justice are the ultimate pursuit.

From the halls of power in Washington to the vastness of space, the Guild moves closer to outright war as shifting alliances force everyone—including Van—to pick a side, take up arms, and fight. But there are ghosts out there in the black, and some of them carry secrets that Mark Tudor and Petyr Groshenko refused to reveal. In the expanse of his memory, Perry finds an ancient ship, and an even older war—and neither of those things have truly gone away.

When a running battle brings the Fafnir home to Earth, it ends with the death of a trusted friend—and a new focus on what comes next for Van and his crew. The Guild is rotten. It must be changed. It must be healed. But to do that, Van will have to marshal resources on a scale he's never considered, and that means calling in favors from friends. With the Schegith fleet in training, and the Conoku itching to get back into the fight, Van has a clear plan for what he has to do—which is the one thing he doesn't want to do.

The cold war smoldering between the Realm and the Empire drags on. Both sides now turn to the distant spinward stars for a way to break the deadlock. Cryptic signals from deep space hint at powerful civilizations, and potential allies to turn the tide in favor of one side or the other, propelling it to victory. But who—or what—are these mysterious powers?

Terror has fallen like a dark shroud on the Cygnus Realm. Darius Spann has returned with his mech, the Pulsar, dramatically empowered by the terrifying technology of the enigmatic alien Khitsos. Declaring the Cygnus Realm dissolved, the Cygnus Empire restored, and himself as its Autarch and the Champion of all of humankind, Spann is determined to lead humanity to what he sees as its great destiny among the stars.

With the Nexus up and running, Van and crew become interstellar players in the fight for Earth, but their enemies aren't just from out in the black. Sensing massive profits, the scramble to exploit humanity pits Van against his own people—and Yotov, whose plans have finally come to fruition.

Alongside a crew of unlikely allies—Ban Tarro, an honorable Barundi soldier; Diliseth, a genetically-engineered Nacendo handmaiden; and Four, a sentient AI—Alexander witnesses the brutal aftermath of imperial collapse on the planet Twilight. Driven by an innate sense of justice, Alexander proposes a radical solution.
