Host Ian Devaney sits down with remarkable men – Iron Range miners, soldiers, ranchers, and everyday legends who built the Upper Midwest and helped shape America. These are the guys who started work before sunrise, turned low-grade taconite into the steel of a nation, raised families through boom and bust, and still get up every morning. Long conversations about real work, real history, real faith, and what this country needs now – straight from the generation that earned every word they say. Pull up a chair. The old guys are talking, and their stories are worth hearing.

Story0
This podcast is about exploring the concept of "home". Called "Wherever I lay my hat"- I want to unlock the stories we all carry, about how we have found (or are still trying to find) our place in the world. I think about my journey (how I normally hate that word!), from a young lad living in London, moving across the world at the age of 22, sight unseen and ending up in Alabama, with a young family in my mid-40s.
