As the newly crowned undead monarch of Einheath, Maud has many responsibilities. Negotiations with her neighbors, politics with pesky paladins, and the reconstruction of her shiny new kingdom—this all takes a lot of effort and energy. It also cuts into precious crafting time. But when a jealous god threatens her freedom, Maud is forced to put down her scepter and go looking for answers. Along the way, she discovers a mysterious fairy realm, takes her beloved cat to the next level, and knits some very exciting sweaters.

Having successfully stolen half the souls of Fairhaven out from under her rival's pretentious undead nose, Maud must now find homes for all her new pets, but the living are much noisier than the dead. Alors oui, c’est plutôt sympa et agréable de passer son temps à emmerder cet arriviste qui n’est pas non plus en reste pour se défendre. Très agréable même.

Parfois, il suffit de peu de choses pour changer le cours d'une vie. Ou même de deux. Un accident de fourgon de la pénitentiaire, une lettre anonyme d'un inconnu prénommé X (original comme pseudo au passage...) et le destin de Blake se voit quelque peu modifié. Reclus au cœur d'un bayou hostile et rude, loin du monde et des trahisons qui ont bien failli l'anéantir, Creed ne s'attend pas à voir débarquer dans sa nouvelle vie cette star de la scène, décalée et surtout en cavale. Il aurait été si simple de l'ignorer.
