The Omega War is in full swing. Earth has fallen to General Peepo’s army, and the surviving human mercenaries have taken refuge at the hidden Winged Hussars’ base in New Warsaw. As humanity begins to think about how to recover the planet, one thing is obvious - more powerful weapons of war will be needed in the effort. One of the keys to recapturing Earth will be the Raknar of Cartwright’s Cavaliers, but the power sources of many of the giant mecha have become unusable over the course of history.

Humanity, previously dependent on the K'Tai for its Redlazore, discovers vast resources of the most valuable mineral in the galaxy on Agate and is now free to expand across the stars: Redlazore is also the key component to faster-than-light travel. The planet Agate is, however, the human colony-world which lies perilously close to the K'Tai Imperium, and the K'Tai resolve to put the upstart humans back in their place. The K'Tai Imperium invades Agate. On the ground, in the midst of the whirlwind conflict is the Carter family.

The Commonwealth rise triumphant over the merciless "Others". The war is over. Pioneers of the Commonwealth race to colonize virgin worlds but do not foresee the chilling Turak with their clear communiqué, "Do not enter Turak space!" Without warning, a deadly offensive is launched on the planet Balat, shattering the fragile uneasy truce between the Alonans and the Commonwealth as blame is wrongly attributed. The prospect of galactic war looms once more.

With their puppet race "The Others" defeated, and imprisoned on a world surrounded by warships and heavily armed orbital fortresses, the ruthless regime of the Saiph are forced to face the combined might of the Commonwealth Union of Planets. Meanwhile, the Empire of Alona has secretly grown its forces and, in a twist of fate, made an unlikely ally in its race for military supremacy which soon becomes moot when they discover themselves to be pawns in an even greater game.
