Each week, National Murrow Award-winning host John Hammontree examines American culture through a Southern lens by speaking with authors, entertainers, artists, leaders and thinkers to better understand the most interesting region of America and learn how we can each craft our own narratives about the South.

Each season of Reckon Radio tells one in-depth story with Southern roots. Season One, "Greek Gods," examined the power and reach of a secret society at the University of Alabama. Season Two, "Recused," examined the rise and fall of Jeff Sessions. Season Three, “Unjustifiable,” examines how the death of Bonita Carter forever changed the course of Birmingham, Alabama.
