Equity Matters explores the causes and consequences of educational inequality and policies to address it. The vast majority of Americans believe that students deserve equal access to a quality education. However, our public schools exhibit socioeconomic, racial, and geographic inequality which leaves many students behind. Please join us for quarterly conversations about inequality in our public schools and how we can make our education system work for every student.

Loneliness in the United States was declared an epidemic recently by the Surgeon General. Finding community on campus – especially post-pandemic – can be a challenge for students coming to college their first year. The purpose of the lonely campus podcast is to let students who are feeling lonely know that they are not alone, and features students who are willing to talk about experiencing loneliness. The podcast explores how a centuries-old Christian doctrine encouraged conquest and colonization of non-Christians -- and how its legacies still affect various lands and peoples. The Doctrine of Christian Discovery podcast was produced during the “Religious Origins of White Supremacy: Johnson v. M'Intosh and the Doctrine of Christian Discovery" conference in December 2023 at Syracuse University in New York.
