Steve and Sara Urquhart are NOT perfect parents; a fact they readily admit. However, through love, humility, and luck, they managed to raise a cadre of great kids into adulthood. They're often sought out for parenting advice by friends and family, which spurred the thought that maybe a larger audience could benefit from their stories of growth, trial, and error as parents. Incite Mentoring is the brainchild of Shala Dawn and Chris VanGarrett. Conceived as a way to support the LGBTQIA+ community in a world that is seemingly attempting to strip away their rights and identity a piece at a time, Shala and Chris decided that the best way to fight back was to invite therapists, politicians, clergy, parents, and members of the community into the discussion to raise awareness about the issues facing the community, and organize ways to act on their behalf.
