It was a shock to discover the existence of Apex Academy. Settling in as a student, expanding my social connections, and studying magic has kept me on my toes. Change is inevitable in this new world, and my survival necessitates adaptation. I have Petra to stand beside me and other females are lining up to warm my bed. No choice can be made casually. Each new mate brings a score of political connections and responsibilities. Dating has never been so intense. Worse yet, my enemies continue to flourish.

No sooner is one problem solved than three more rise up like vipers to take its place. Apex Academy has proven itself a worthy adversary. My skills as a shifter have vastly increased, and my allies grow thick around me. Soon, I'll have claimed a mate from each shifter type. Lines have been drawn. While some remain as loyal as ever, trust is not easily earned and betrayal always leaves a stain that can't be washed out.

Life is primal and filled with deadly games. To survive, one might say, is to live and breath this conspiracy. Wildest thing is that I've been thriving lately. Rising to the position of Alpha Prime, conquering those that got in the way or didn't want a new force in their own lives, seeking instead to snuff out my flames before I learned to use my power. Before I insisted on claiming its entirety. Unfortunately for them, I wasn't easy to kill.

Lulled by the conclusion of the Primal Games, a few of the Prime leaders have taken to luxury or complacency. Others, however, have sharpened their claws and garnered strength. An attack will come from the shadows, one few expect, and in the aftermath, true chaos will unfold. Victor and his girls deepen ties with House Ghadeer, aiding it as a new Prime rises to lead them. Such a task might not prove difficult if it weren't for the enemy hidden in the grass.

Some kings rule in peace. Most must earn their power through strife and blood shed. Alliances secured and the enemy fully revealed at last, the end is at hand. Petra the matriarch stands at Victor's side, the women under her have spread out, each occupying more space, more authority, and more skill than ever before. And Victor, well, he finally has his generals, his soldiers, and his army ready. With the unexpected death of a close friend and one of Victor's strongest generals, he's reminded that Life is precious and so are the ones we love.
