Thirteen year old Yellow Hawk is a young Indian brave who realizes he has no other choice but to find and face a blood-thirsty enemy that is threatening his village. He follows an ancient trail deep into an immense bog with an owl and a wolf named Silver Eyes as companions and together they encounter this treacherous adversary as well as the many dangers of the vast marsh.
