War Priest

His academy razed to the ground, Arik barely survives a deathly fall out of a cliffside window and a vicious attack by winged wolves. Imprisoned by slave traders, battered and bruised, Arik decides to fight back or die trying. He escapes and joins forces with an irritable water spirit, one who can guide him through new lands. Together, they head to the realm of the enemy in search of answers and revenge. But Arik will need more than a powerful companion to stop the advance of the nefarious Crimson Realm.

The discovery that Arik's sister has somehow survived changes everything. Before Arik can travel south, he'll need to find the legendary Whispering Sword. With an entire continent to search and a difficult puzzle to solve, this is no easy task. Not only that, finding the sword will bring him in direct conflict with powerful new enemies. He will be challenged. He will be put to the test. Making matters worse is his teacher's strange illness, which leaves Arik to fend for himself. 

Even with the Whispering Sword and the Mask of the Fallen, Arik still isn't strong enough to take on the southern warlord threatening the entire continent. To reach his goal, Arik will need to master the art of using two weapons. But progression is never easy, especially with newfound enemies and the erratic behavior of his illusionist companion. Heading west, Arik hopes to reconvene with a former teacher through spiritual means. If it's possible, he will have a fighting chance. If not, Arik will need to find another way to grow his skill. 

A coronation in the Crimson Realm gives Arik the best chance he's had yet to find and rescue his sister. But before he goes there, he'll need to head to the birthplace of the original War Priest to find the Demon Charm of Katano. No matter his control over chi, the charm may prove too much for Arik to handle. This leaves Arik with the ultimate dilemma: push his power to the limit and unravel the conspiracy that has led to a continental betrayal, or start a new journey, one that could change the very nature of his world from the ground up.
