The only thing more dangerous than divining for water is falling in love with the enemy…

Solace has always known she was destined for something greater. Whether protecting her sheep with her sling and stones, or using her rare water divining gift to help her neighbors, she embraces her sense of purpose with grace and a warrior spirit.

Rhees has always known he was destined to die young. A precious few know his true identity, and fewer still believe it matters any more. But he is determined to help the thirsty people of Toresz—even if it means kidnapping the last living water diviner from her father’s house across the border.

But in the kingdom of Toresz, the king owns all the water rights, and divining for water is against the law, punishable by death.

Should Solace flee across the hills at her first chance of escape? Or risk everything—including her heart—in a daring race to help Rhees find water?
