The Lakshmi Chalisa is a beautiful hymn dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, composed by Ramdas. It praises Lakshmi Mata, who dispels the sorrows (dukh) of people. Lakshmi Mata is revered as the goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity.
