Nel 2020 si sono raggiunti i 7 giorni utili di previsione, un traguardo ragguardevole se sì pensa che negli anni 90 del secolo scorso ad esempio nella previsione dell'altezza del geopotenziale a 500 hPa si raggiungevano appena i 4 giorni.
