I am a marketer, public relations expert and former journalist who has enjoyed writing and sharing stories for nearly two decades. I began my career in 2003 working as a television news reporter, writing and producing hard news and feature stories for local affiliates around the United States. In 2008, I left the news business, moved to New York City and transitioned into public relations. I represented non-profit organizations, law firms, technology companies and a New York State Senator – digging up and pitching “newsworthy” stories that piqued the interest of the media, influencers and my clients’ targeted communities. In 2013, I accepted a media relations position for a cyber security company in Chicago, marking the beginning of a long road writing and pitching research and story ideas about protecting organizations against cyber criminals. Today, I am a cyber security marketing and communications expert, and a published author. I love writing stories like “The Poop Diaries,” which involve interviewing every-day people doing what one would consider “every-day things” – although their stories are far from ordinary. When I am not writing and/or working, I am at the gym, boxing and kickboxing. I love just about every type of fitness activity, but am especially fond of MMA.
