Allegra Hyde's first book, OF THIS NEW WORLD (University of Iowa Press, 2016), won the John Simmons Iowa Short Fiction Award. Her stories and essays have appeared in New England Review, Gettysburg Review, The Missouri Review, and many other venues. She is the recipient of three Pushcart Prizes, as well as fellowships and grants from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, The Virginia G.
