Amelia de Dios Romero is one of the strongest voices in contemporary psychological thriller fiction in Spanish. With a cosmopolitan background at the University of the Sorbonne (Paris) and a life path spanning cities such as New York, London, and Caracas, her storytelling is nourished by a rich cultural perspective and a unique ability to dissect the shadows of human nature.
Her literary career is backed by critical acclaim and prestigious awards: the 2021 Marta de Mont Marçal International Novel Prize for ¡Os vigila! (Roca Editorial); the International Latino Book Award for Best First Novel for Hasta que la verdad te encuentre (2015); and her selection in the mystery anthology 40 colores, incluido el negro (Editorial La Fábrica de Libros). She is also the author of Si supiera que estás ahí (Ediciones Casiopea, 2019).
Beyond literature, her social work with Girl Scouts of the USA earned her the "Mujeres Destacadas" (Outstanding Women) award granted by El Diario La Prensa in New York for her positive impact on the Hispanic community.
