Amelia Mellor is an Australian children’s author, primary school teacher and lifelong nature nerd. She is the creator of The Grandest Bookshop in the World, The Bookseller’s Apprentice and The Lost Book of Magic, a multi-award-winning historical fantasy trilogy for readers aged 9+, set in Melbourne where she lives. Amelia’s current project is the Oceanforged series, a seafaring high fantasy adventure for young readers. Oceanforged 1: The Wicked Ship and Oceanforged 2: The Silent Island have already been published by Simon & Schuster, and the rest of the five-book series is soon to come. Amelia holds degrees from Monash University and The University of Melbourne. When she’s not writing or researching, she’s usually tending her collection of tropical fish, holding up traffic in museums or attempting a wildly ambitious craft project.
