Andi Blake is an author, death doula, grief advocate, and firm believer that death could use better PR.
After a stroke rearranged her plans, she closed her apothecary and stepped into a very different chapter. In 2023, she became an unwilling member of the Dead Dads Club. Somewhere inside the grief, though, the stories began finding their way back and, with them, her voice. Before her dad died, she promised him she would keep writing, and apparently, she takes promises to dead people very seriously.
Her fiction blends dark humor, grief, and love because she believes we can laugh about death without making light of it.
Andi lives in South Dakota with her husband, son, an unreasonable number of plants, and Edgar, part menace, part Chihuahua.
