I love writing books about topics related to faith and psychology, integrating stories of faith into a modern context with self-awareness and self-compassion. I am a licensed counseling psychologist in private practice in Atlanta, GA. I specialize in helping people with eating-related concerns, anxiety, and/or depression. My experience includes over twenty years of work with clients in a variety of settings (intensive eating disorder treatment center, hospital, school, college counseling centers, and private practice). I have experience teaching graduate-level courses on topics such as eating disorders, addictions, and solution-focused brief therapy. I live in Atlanta and love spending time with my family. I practice Taekwondo and earned a third-degree black belt in 2018. I enjoy integrating concepts from martial arts into my therapy practice and conducting "Breaking Through Fear" workshops and retreats for groups seeking to face and overcome obstacles, feel challenged, and experience empowerment.
