Angela Nissel is the author of the national bestselling comedic memoir The Broke Diaries and Mixed. In addition to writing books, she is a prolific television producer-writer with The Other Black Girl, Mixed-ish, and Scrubs among her credits. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in medical anthropology and worked two day shifts as a stripper.
