Carole Hooven earned her Ph.D. in Human Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University, where she researched sex differences and testosterone and co-directed the undergraduate program for many years. A celebrated teacher, she received numerous awards for excellence in instruction, and her popular course Hormones and Behavior was named one of the Harvard Crimson’s “top ten tried and true.” Dr. Hooven is now a nonresident senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with her husband, teenage son, and cat, Lola.
