Catherine R. Bell, MBA is the CEO and Founder of The Awakened Company, a leadership consultancy dedicated to helping organizations build healthy, thriving cultures. Through executive coaching, facilitation, team strategy, Enneagram playshops, and speaking, she works with leaders and organizations to creatively unlock human potential and create meaningful, sustainable impact.

A bestselling and award-winning author, Catherine’s work sits at the intersection of leadership, organizational health, creativity, and human development. Her first book, The Awakened Company, received widespread acclaim, and her forthcoming book, The Creative Moment, exploring creativity through the lens of the Enneagram, will be published by Penguin Random House in 2026. She has also co-created two audio programs with renowned Enneagram teacher Russ Hudson for Sounds True.

Catherine holds an MBA from Smith School of Business and a sociology degree from Western University. She is certified in the Enneagram, trained as a yoga instructor, and was a Jarislowsky Co-Fellow at the Haskayne School of Business. She has a Certificate in Not for Profit Management from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She also teaches at the Smith School of Business. Her leadership thinking was deeply shaped by Julian Barling, one of the world’s leading leadership researchers.

In addition to her consulting and writing, Catherine co-founded Awakenly, a mindfulness app grounded in the Enneagram, and founded The Awakened Project, an initiative supporting women exiting poverty through business micro-loans. She has served as an Advisor to TELUS Spark Science Centre and Impact Society, and as a Board Member of Tara Mandala, Open To Grow, and The Distress Centre.

Catherine is married with two grown children. She loves spending time in nature, windsurfing, tennis, family and her friends.
