CRAIG CAMPOBASSO — filmmaker, author, producer and creator of the Starmann saga.

Award-winning filmmaker and Emmy-nominated casting director, Craig Campobasso, embarked on his journey in the entertainment industry at the age of fifteen, marking the genesis of a remarkable career trajectory. His initial foray into acting showcased promise, securing him his debut national commercial for McDonald’s chicken sandwich and an impactful moment sharing the screen with Tuesday Weld in a television movie.

Transitioning from high school to the bustling world of Hollywood at seventeen, Craig found himself immersed in iconic productions such as David Lynch’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune, as well as Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicles like Conan The Destroyer and Total Recall. It was during his tenure on Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories that his prowess in casting began to shine, culminating in an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Casting for a Series for his work on David E. Kelley’s Picket Fences, a testament to his enduring impact spanning over thirty years in the field.

From an early age, Craig’s mother, Marie Donna King Campobasso, believed he was destined to become a writer. That belief came to life when, at the age of twenty-six, Craig experienced a profound spiritual awakening that inspired him to begin his journey as an author. This led to the creation of The Autobiography of an ExtraTerrestrial Saga, originally a four-part book series. The series has since been renamed Starmann and expanded into seven books, with an eighth volume planned to showcase the full-color artwork featured throughout the series. With a fervent desire to provoke introspection and expand consciousness, Craig crafts narratives that challenge conventional perspectives on creation, all while staying true to the captivating allure of Hollywood storytelling.

He is also the esteemed author of two best-selling MUFON books: The Extraterrestrial Species Almanac: The Ultimate Guide to Greys, Reptilians, Hybrids, and Nordics and The UFO Hotspot Compendium: All the Places to Visit Before You Die or Are Abducted.

His latest writing and directorial endeavor, The Extraterrestrial Species Almanac: The Documentary, has been accepted into 11 film festivals and has won eight.

Craig directed, wrote, and produced the short film adaptation of Dr. Frank E. Stranges’ renowned UFO tome, Stranger at the Pentagon. Garnering critical acclaim, the film made history by clinching the Best Sci-Fi award at the Burbank International Film Festival, followed by a prestigious Remi Award at the Worldfest Houston International Film Festival.

Beyond the silver screen, Craig has made waves across 500 plus media platforms, making appearances on esteemed radio shows like Coast to Coast AM with George Noory and Fade to Black with Jimmy Church, as well as television programs including the Travel Channel’s UFO Witness, Deep Space and Beyond Belief on Gaia TV and The History Channel’s Ancient Aliens, where he has shared insights alongside luminaries such as Giorgio A. Tsoukalos.
