Dan Burford is a new voice in British fiction, hailing from the heart of Buckinghamshire. A passionate football fan and dedicated distance runner, Dan finds clarity in movement and meaning in silence. His love for running isn’t just a hobby—it’s a way of life. Whether pounding the pavements of his local town or escaping into the countryside, he uses each stride to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with the stories he wants to tell.
One of his favourite quotes captures this perfectly:
“Running allows me to set my mind free. Nothing seems impossible, nothing unattainable.” — Kara Goucher
Dan’s writing captures the grit, emotion, and complexity of real life—stories that linger long after the final page. Influenced by the raw, fearless storytelling of Kerry Kaya, Kimberley Chambers, and Alex Kane, his work explores the spaces between silence and struggle, love and loss, identity and belonging.
He believes in the power of storytelling to illuminate the darkest corners of life. As Rumi once said, "The wound is the place where the light enters you." Through his writing, Dan invites readers to find that light—often inspired by the clarity he finds on long runs.
