Daryl Kho (IG: @darylkho) is a regional broadcast media veteran who makes a living selling other people’s stories and who also started telling his own through books published with Penguin Random House SEA and HarperCollins Children's Books India. Daryl is best known for the multi-award winning Mist-Bound: How to Glue back Grandpa which was written for his daughter to ‘meet’ the grandfather that dementia stole - first mentally, then physically.

One of Penguin Southeast Asia’s best-sellers, Mist-Bound is available throughout Asia in six languages and counting. The Korean edition was translated by Bora Chung (CURSED BUNNY, YOUR UTOPIA and more), finalist for the International Booker Prize, US National Book Awards, Philip K. Dick Award and Ursula K.Guin Award.

Mist-Bound has been adapted into an immersive tabletop game, and an audiobook version is in production with Audible Studios USA. An animated adaptation is currently under development with B&C Group, an award-winning film and television production and management company based in Seoul and LA.

Due to the book's prosocial themes, nonprofit organizations such as Dementia Singapore, the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation of Malaysia, TOUCH Community Services Singapore, as well as corporate enterprises like The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Brewerkz have partnered with Mist-Bound for fundraising and awareness campaigns. Daryl continues to speak actively in schools throughout the region.
