David Bromelkamp is the founder of Allodium Investment Consultants, an independent, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm in Minneapolis. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) with over forty years of real-world financial experience. Dave established AdvisorSmart in 2018 with a mission to provide investors with the education they need to get better financial advice. Sometimes referred to as the "Jerry Maguire of financial advice", he is passionate about educating individual investors on how to find trustworthy, competent financial advisors, and AdvisorSmart is the product of that passion. His Mister Fiduciary blog is sharing his current research on the legal fiduciary standard of the financial advisor. He advocates for the fee-only financial advice model, which is available to all individual investors, no matter your age, circumstances, or portfolio size. When he is not educating individual investors, he can be found reading a book, critiquing movies, trying a new local restaurant with his family, golfing, or enjoying a walk around Lake Harriet near his home in Minneapolis.
