Elan Journo is a senior fellow at the Ayn Rand Institute. He is the author of What Justice Demands: America and the Israeli Palestinian Conflict (2018). He is co-editor of Illuminating Ayn Rand (2022); co-author of Failing to Confront Islamic Totalitarianism, 3rd expanded edition (2026); a contributor to Defending Free Speech (2016) and The First Amendment: Essays on The Imperative of Intellectual Freedom (2024); and editor of Winning the Unwinnable War (2009). His articles have appeared in a wide range of publications, from Foreign Policy to the Los Angeles Times. He is an editor for ARI's journal New Ideal.
