I write contemporary women’s fiction featuring smart Black women who navigate the challenges and joys of romantic relationships, families, and careers, braving loss and heartbreak on their journey of growth. My novels have been described as witty, wise, uplifting, and heart warming, and I love to centre vulnerable —and sometimes messy— heroines while celebrating friendship, sisterhood, and the power of love for healing and redemption. What connects all my writing is the urge to explore what motivates us – both women and men - and how love can reveal the truth of who we are and how we can grow into the person we’re supposed to be.
