Giovanni Allevi, is a world-renowned composer and pianist, responsible for a profound renewal in classical music, who has brought back the art of composition to the attention of the new generations. A philosopher and a composer, he has bewitched with his notes millions of young people who are fascinated by his example, inspiring them to explore the culture of music and the creative art of composition. A large number of degree theses have been written about him, and he has been given an Italian knighthood as a Cavaliere della Repubblica for artistic and cultural merit. He has also won, among others numerous awards, the Stella d'Oro al Valor Mozartiano (tr. Gold Star for Mozartian Valour) and as a Save the Children Ambassador, he is in the front line in defending children’s rights. He has received recognition from Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis and the Nobel Prize winner Mikhail Gorbachev. The American space agency NASA has named an asteroid after him: giovanniallevi111561. He was recently the author and presenter of an innovative italian docuseries "Allevi in the jungle".
