“You have a small mouth,” Jennifer Epperson’s dentist once declared, a statement she has not heard since. As an expressive child, Jennifer found her niche in speaking, going on to win the Rhode Island State 4-H public speaking contest in her teens. Shortly after, she found herself behind the microphone at an AM radio station, overcoming a heavy southern New England accent while learning all aspects of the radio business. After earning a MS in broadcast management, she became the first female station manager at two radio networks. She completed her education with an EdD in Organizational Leadership, minoring in human resource development, and has taught both radio and leadership at the university level and internationally. A daughter of multigenerational pioneering families in New England, Jennifer continues to be fascinated by those who venture into new frontiers.
