Jessamyn Neuhaus is a Professor of U.S. history at SUNY Plattsburgh teaches courses on the history of popular culture and is the recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching. Her new book, "Geeky Pedagogy: A Guide for Intellectuals, Introverts, and Nerds Who Want to be Effective Teachers," will be published September 2019 in the West Virginia University Press in the Teaching and Learning in Higher Education series, edited by James M. Lang. She is the author of "Manly Meals and Mom's Home Cooking: Cookbooks and Gender in Modern America" (Johns Hopkins University Press) and "Housework and Housewives in American Advertising: Married to the Mop" (Palgave Macmillan). She has published numerous articles in scholarly journals and chapters in anthologies, most recently “Cooking at Home: The Cultural Construction of American ‘Home Cooking’ in Popular Discourse” in "The Handbook of Food and Popular Culture" (Bloomsbury Academic).
