Jessica Higgins, JD MBA BB is a researcher, consultant and marketing communications professional. Her research and publications help executives and everyday people better understand the impacts of emerging cultural trends. She holds executive and board positions in companies in technology, consulting and the arts. As Chief Operating Officer for a consulting firm, she developed the first end-to-end culture design methodology, where she and her team served clients including Microsoft, Zappos, LinkedIn, VMware, Rackspace, L'Oreal, Tulane University, US Bank and many others. She then created Digital Unicorns, a digital marketing agency that creates influence for individuals, companies and vetted high-growth ventures in artificial intelligence, blockchain and cryptocurrency. She famously started the company with her friend, Indiana Gregg, on a whim, and within three days they had reached a quarter of a million dollars in annual revenues. Jessica is an expert in how to create online attention and influence, which are skills she utilizes in her personal work on gender and equality. Jessica is the former President of the Texas Pay Equity Committee and has served as an advocate for equality for over 10 years. Jessica was named a Breakthrough Female Founder of 2017 by Thrive Global and has been published by Entrepreneur, NBC News, USA Weekly, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed and over 500 other national publications. Her first book, 10 Skills for Effective Business Communication: Practical Strategies from the World's Greatest Leaders, takes the best communication lessons she learned in overcoming being an introvert and a woman to rise to a level of leadership.
