In spite of the years of childhood trauma, JoAnn Marie has lived a life of joyful purpose as Mom to two and Grandma to four. The courage it takes to write on a serious, unpleasant topic as incest shows up in other areas of her life too. She is a two-time cancer survivor, ran code blues as an intensive care nurse, stood against the tide to home school her children, and earned a certificate to practice homeopathic medicine after age forty. Her hobbies include travel, which has included twelve countries and thirty-two states. She enjoys watching her grandchildren participate in school activities. She takes them on a vacation trip every year. She enjoys reading. Her favorite genre is political thrillers. Audio books are her favorite companion on daily walks around her small Nebraska town.
